Lake Park Bicycles · North Palm Beach, Florida

Fifty years of trust. Now Google finds it in five towns.

Tony Tranquillo started at Lake Park Bicycles when he was 15, bought the shop from the family that trained him, and has run it ever since. Locals already knew him. Google mostly didn't. In the 80 days after the new site went live, Google sent the website more than twice as many clicks as the same stretch a year earlier, and the shop booked 47% more tune-ups.

Where it started

A great shop behind a brochure

July 2026, before we touched anything.

Lake Park Bicycles had what most shops would trade anything for: a name people trust, a service bench with five decades behind it, and a location between some of the wealthiest towns in Florida and a winter tourist season that fills every condo on Singer Island.

Fifty years of word of mouth had already put the shop at the top of Google Maps for its own town. Search "bike repair Lake Park" and Tony was there. The trouble started one town over. The website gave Google about ten pages to work with, none of which said what anything cost or let anyone book, rent or buy.

Before. A Wix brochure. Three menu items, no prices, bike pages that linked out to the manufacturers.

After. A storefront. Prices up front, tune-ups and rentals booked online, a page for every town served.

The goal

Turn the website from a brochure into a register

Be the shop people find first anywhere in Palm Beach County when they need a bike fixed, rented or bought, and let them do it online at any hour.

That meant three jobs for the site: sell, book and capture. It also meant teaching Google that Lake Park Bicycles serves Jupiter, Juno Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Singer Island and West Palm Beach as well as its home street, and that it sells e-bikes and scooters as well as fixing bikes.

The longer goal came out of the same planning. Once the shop owns its local market, move the store onto Shopify and sell e-bikes nationwide. Everything we built had to carry over to that move without losing a single ranking.

What we did

Seven moves, measured every week

The broad strokes. The exact recipe stays in our kitchen.

Rebuilt the site as a storefront

Hand-coded and fast, with prices, a tune-up booking wizard, an online rental desk and checkout-ready product pages. Every page written around what a customer actually types into Google.

10 → 37 pages earning Google impressions

A real page for every town served

Jupiter, Juno Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Singer Island, Lake Park and North Palm Beach each got their own page with local routes, delivery details and directions.

Jupiter page: 1,136 impressions in 80 days

E-bike pages Google can read

Every e-bike model got its own detailed page with specs, prices and stock status in the format search engines use for products.

E-bike searches on page 1: 97 → 296

New products straight into search

When Tony started selling seated e-scooters in August, the sale page, rentals and listing went live the same week.

Scooter searches: 3 → 35 in 8 weeks

A fully built Google Business Profile

Categories, services with prices, and the website link set up so every click from the map is measured.

Map listing clicks: 267 → 356 (+33%)

Gus answers when the shop is closed

An AI assistant on the site and the phone line that knows the prices, the rentals and the repair rules, and books the job.

Social media that shows up every week

Professionally designed ads go out every week on Facebook and Instagram, and no two weeks look the same: the doorstep tune-up one week, beach rentals the next, then new e-bike arrivals or the scooter sale. On top of the ads, we're at the shop several times a week filming Tony on the bench, new bikes coming off the truck and customers heading out on rides. The point is simple. More people follow along, more of them engage, and everyone knows who Lake Park Bicycles is and what's on offer right now.

Tune-ups up 47% in the first 80 days

We also cleaned up 42 spam websites that had been linking to the shop for years, and we check rankings every week in five towns so nothing slips unnoticed.

The results

More clicks in the slowest months of the year

August through October is the quiet season in South Florida. The snowbirds aren't back yet.

2025, old site2026, new siteAll clicks from Google Search and Maps to lakeparkbicycles.com

August clicks rose 78% over last year and September rose 46%. Last December, with the winter crowd in town, the old site had its best month on record at 263 clicks. This December the shop goes into peak season with a site that shows up for more than twice as many top-3 searches.

The search gains and the weekly social push landed together, and the shop felt it at the bench: 47% more tune-ups than the same 80 days last year. Clicks are the number we trust most for search. Impressions can be inflated by rank-checking tools, including our own. Nobody clicks a result by accident three hundred times a month.

Found without trying

1,197 searches showed the site. We only track 115.

When we pulled every search that put Lake Park Bicycles in front of someone over those 80 days, 1,107 of them were searches we never set out to track. 761 of those already rank on Google's first page, and 80 of them show up often enough to matter.

They tell you what customers actually type, which is often not what a business owner would guess. People ask where they can get an e-bike fixed. Visitors look for rentals by park name. Spanish-speaking customers search in Spanish, and the shop shows up for those too.

Where we are in the goal

Two stages done, the third under way

Done · July 2026

The storefront

Prices, booking, rentals and e-bike pages live. The site works as a register around the clock.

Done · October 2026

Own the home turf

Top-3 on the map for most tracked searches in North Palm Beach and Riviera Beach, and close to half in Palm Beach Gardens.

Now

Win Jupiter and West Palm

The two biggest markets nearby, where the shop is visible on 10 to 15 percent of searches today. That's where this winter's work goes.

Next

Sell to the whole country

Move the store onto Shopify and ship e-bikes nationwide, carrying every ranking across.

What comes next

From the best bike shop in town to an e-bike store for the country

Local search got Lake Park Bicycles in front of everyone within a short drive. A nationwide store gets it in front of everyone else. The move to Shopify gives Tony a real cart, payment plans and shipping, with the same shop, the same name and the same 50 years behind every order.

  • Same address on the web. The domain, the town pages and the rankings move over intact, with every old link pointing to its new home.
  • A cart that ships. E-bikes ordered online, built and checked on Tony's bench, delivered anywhere in the U.S.
  • The shop stays local. Tune-ups, rentals and pickup and delivery keep running exactly as they do now.
  • Measured the same way. The weekly rank checks extend to national e-bike searches on the day the store opens.

Your customers already trust you. Let's make sure Google does too.

How we measured. Clicks, impressions and queries come from Google Search Console for lakeparkbicycles.com. The new site went live on the domain July 30, 2026. "After" is July 30 to October 17, 2026; "before" is the same 80 days in 2025, on the old site. Website clicks exclude clicks tagged as coming from the Google Business Profile. The tune-up increase compares the shop's tune-up count for the same two periods.

Map positions come from DV8's own weekly rank tracker, which checks each search as if from that town, between October 13 and 18, 2026. Search Console does not show every query by name, so query counts undercount the true total. Shared with the permission of Tony Tranquillo, owner of Lake Park Bicycles.
